Epiphone’s Inspired by Gibson™ Collection proudly presents the Les Paul Standard 50s, a guitar that faithfully recreates the look, feel, and tone of the legendary 1950s-era Les Pauls.
Epiphone’s long-standing relationship with Les Paul dates back to 1940, when Les built one of the world’s first solid-body electric guitars while working nights at Epiphone’s original Manhattan factory. That instrument, famously nicknamed “The Log,” would go on to inspire the Les Paul Standard—often regarded as the greatest electric guitar ever made.
The Les Paul Standard 50s features a mahogany body topped with a maple cap and AAA flame maple veneer, paired with a ’59 Rounded Medium C mahogany neck and long neck tenon for authentic vintage resonance. A laurel fingerboard with classic trapezoid inlays completes the timeless aesthetic.
For tone, a set of Epiphone Probucker™ humbuckers delivers vintage PAF-inspired sound, wired with CTS potentiometers and 50s-style wiring for enhanced dynamics, warmth, and responsiveness. Additional premium details include the Kalamazoo headstock, Graph Tech nut, Vintage Deluxe tuners, and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers. A premium gigbag is included.
