fender-lee-sklar-precision-bass-aged-natural
Fender Lee Sklar Precision Bass - Aged Natural

Leland Sklar is one of the most recorded bassists of all time, and his heavily modified P Bass has been heard on countless recordings since the mid ’70s. A USA production version of the studio legend’s iconic instrument, the Fender Lee Sklar Precision Bass is certainly one of the most distinctive instruments you’ll find. With its 1.59-inch nut width, the neck is thinner than that of a standard P Bass, providing a faster feel more akin to a Jazz Bass. Like the original, this signature model is spec’d with a round-laminated rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25-inch radius and low-profile frets. The electronics are quite novel as well, with two active EMG Lee Sklar P pickups that deliver a much wider tonal range than a single stock passive P Bass pickup. The Lee Sklar Precision Bass is also outfitted with top-drawer hardware, including a Hipshot BT3 Bass Xtender, and is finished in Fender’s exclusive Heirloom nitrocellulose lacquer. Part of the Fender Stories Collection, the Lee Sklar Precision Bass pays tribute to an iconic bassist and the modified P Bass he used to shape the sound of popular music.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Model: Lee Sklar Precision Bass

Artist: Lee Sklar

Number of Strings: 4

Left-/Right-handed: Right-handed

Body Type: Solidbody

Body Shape: Precision

Body Material: Alder

Color: Natural

Body Finish: Satin Nitrocellulose Lacquer

Neck Material: Maple

Neck Finish: Nitrocellulose Lacquer

Neck Shape: 1962 Jazz Bass C

Neck Joint: Bolt-on

Radius: 7.25"

Fingerboard Material: Rosewood

Fingerboard Inlay: Dots

Number of Frets: 20

Scale Length: 34"

Scale Length Type: Standard-scale

Nut Width: 1.59"

Nut Material: Bone

Hardware Finish: Chrome

Tuners: Gotoh Open Gear

Neck Pickup: EMG Active Lee Sklar P Split-coil

Bridge Pickup: EMG Active Lee Sklar P Split-coil

Controls: 2 x Volume, 1 x Tone

Strings: .040-.102

Case/Gig Bag: Hardshell Case

Manufacturer Part Number: 0192710821

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0738/1057/5552/files/845E7752-18C1-42AC-A1E4-3EE29CF8DD17_1_201_a.jpg?v=1792514260
