Gretsch is celebrating their 140th year of production with a bang! You can see evidence of this in the G6134T-140 PRO 140th Double Platinum Edition Penguin. This cool bird spits out classic Gretsch tone courtesy of its FT-67 Filter’Tron pickups, chambered mahogany body, and solid Adirondack red spruce top. Gretsch also outfitted this Penguin in Double Platinum duds such as the Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays, a commemorative 140th Anniversary head plaque, and the cherry on top: a String-through Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. The maple neck and ebony fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets sits comfortably in the hand and the chambered body’s reduced bulk makes for lightweight performance. Now you can kick it onstage till the penguins come home.
