Description
New for 2024, the Fender Custom Shop introduces the 1960 Telecaster Custom Heavy Relic. An icon in the history of Fender guitars, this prized double-bound Telecaster is brought back to the forefront with its trio of Heavy Relic lacquer finishes, two-piece select alder body and quartersawn maple neck with flat-laminated rosewood fingerboard.
Dressed in Super Faded Aged Chocolate Three-Color Sunburst and topped with a three-ply mint green pickguard, this Tele Custom looks as if it was pried straight from the hands of a gigging guitarist in the ‘60s and transported to today—and with its set of Custom Shop hand-wound ’58 Tele pickups, it sounds that way, too! Full of all the sparkly, clear highs, prominent midrange and smooth lows that made this era Tele special, this 1960 Telecaster Custom is truly something to behold.
