The Gibson J-45 is Gibson’s best-selling acoustic guitar of all time. First introduced in 1942 and affectionately nicknamed “The Workhorse,” it has become the cornerstone of Gibson’s round-shoulder dreadnought lineup.

This new J-45 Standard variant, featuring rosewood back and sides, retains everything players expect from the world-renowned J-45 while offering a slightly fuller bass response and enhanced overtone complexity thanks to the tonal characteristics of rosewood. The result is a guitar with greater depth, rich harmonic content, and excellent balance for both strumming and fingerstyle playing.

Designed for both stage and studio use, this J-45 comes equipped with an L.R. Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup and preamp system, delivering a natural, articulate amplified tone straight out of the included hardshell case.
